Cougars Updates

Week 5 CCSC Nominations

  • Landon Post, 12U B O' Reilly

Landon showed enormous hustle and scored the winning goal to win the game.

  • James Hubbel, 10U B Eisel

Scored 2 amazing goals within 1 minute of each other.

Week 6 CCSC Nominations

  • Ethan Bojarski, 10U A National Bojarski

I am excited to nominate Ethan for Player of the Week following his exceptional performance over the weekend. Ethan recorded a remarkable seven assists and three goals, showcasing his offensive prowess and playmaking abilities. His speed and skillful puck handling consistently created scoring opportunities, contributing significantly to our team's success. Ethan’s commitment on both ends of the ice was evident, as he demonstrated strong forechecking and backchecking in both games. His relentless effort not only elevated his performance but also inspired his teammates. Ethan's outstanding skills and determination make him a deserving candidate for this week's honor. Let's celebrate his hard work and impact on the ice!

  • Owen Litchford, 14U B Grassi

Owen lead the team in points this weekend getting 2 assists against the Ice Hawks on Saturday and a goal against the Kings on Sunday. Not only did he lead on the scoreboard, his positive attitude and willingness to play any position and in any situation was a huge contribution to the team's success in both games.

  • Max Larabee and Travis Blaine, 10U A National Bojarski

This week, we highlight an incredible play between Travis Blaine (#5) and Max Larabee (#40). Travis skillfully won the puck mid-ice and immediately passed it to Max. The two displayed remarkable chemistry with a series of seamless back-and-forth passes as they entered the Raptors’ zone, culminating in a perfectly executed goal. This play is a testament to their trust in each other, their teamwork, and their impressive skill on the ice. Great job, Travis and Max! Your collaboration truly made a difference in the game!

  • Cooper Towey, 10U A American Crosby

Cooper was solid in net all game as the Cougars battled back to tie their game in the 3rd period. Cooper then made 3 huge glove saves late in the 3rd to keep it tied and give his team the chance to win in overtime.

  • Nick Danby, 12U A National Johnson

Nick Danby stood his ground and helped the Cougars finish a comeback win in overtime. After a rough start for his skaters, Danby took one more step towards being a leader as he made some big saves to help spark the confidence the team was looking for. The game was balanced after the first period and the Cougars clawed their way back to tie it up in the final minutes. Nick continues to be the vocal and disciplined leader that the Cougars can rely on. His net play has become equally as reliable. We are looking forward to see where his career takes him.

  • Hayden Fuller, 12U B O'Reilly

Hayden had 4 goals and 3 assists in both games over the weekend. Showed great hustle and leadership.
