A Great Start to the Season
Opening weekend at the Club saw the return of Family Skate and Open Hockey. At the same time, the Cougars kicked off the season with weekend games and tournaments, and the 8U teams participated in the Mite Jamboree. Our shining moment came when the 18U A National team went 5–0 and brought home the championship banner at the Defender College Showcase. Cougars Updates
18U A National Wins the Defender College Showcase
Our Chester County Cougars 18U A team dominated their division and won the championship at the Defender College Exposure Showcase in York, PA this past weekend. The team went 5–0 and only let in 4 goals for the tournament. Congratulations to all of our 18U players and coaches on a great start to the season!
18U A Championship Recap from DefenderHockeyTournaments.com: Chester County Cougars (5–0–0) triumphed over the Reston Raiders (Silver) (4–1–0) with a 3–1 win in the 18U A division. The Cougars jumped to an early lead with two goals in the first period. The Raiders attempted a comeback with a goal in the second, but the Cougars added another goal in the third period to maintain their lead and win the championship.
16U A National Starts the Season Strong at the International Silver Sticks Tournament
The 16UA National team had an impressive start to their season at the International Silver Sticks tournament last weekend. Shutouts against the Pittsburgh Aviators 16UA and Wissahickon Warriors 16UA and a tied game with Nassau Lions
16UAA sent them into the semi finals. The Nassau Lions 16UAA proved to be their nemesis with another back and forth game that resulted in an OT loss for the Cougars. Our CCSC 16UA National team is going to be a fun team to watch this season!
8U Teams Take on the Mite Jamboree
Our youngest Cougars took to the ice over the weekend for an 8U parity event at Ice Works. The teams had a lot of fun both on and off the ice. Between games, players and parents enjoyed a tailgate party with face painting, a dunk tank, hockey shooting lanes, Flyers merchandise, food and beverages. The players and parents bonded and had a great time.
